In addition to the links on my links page, I’d
like to introduce you to some of my friends and colleagues.
My Critique Group:
First among my writing friends is my small and intimate and
essential-to-my-life critique group.
Shirley Hoskins doesn’t
yet have a website, but her wonderful story “A Driftwood’s
Tale” appeared in the June,
2006, issue of Cricket magazine. Shirley has a gift for painting
a scene, which is not surprising given her talent for drawing.
Kathy
Whitehead (www.kathywhitehead.com) has been writing children’s
books since her own children were little. Her first picture
book, Looking for Uncle Louie on the Fourth of July, was published
in 2005
by Boyds Mills Press. Her second picture book, Art From Her
Heart: Folk Artist Clementine Hunter, is out in fall, 2008, from
G.P. Putnam.
She is working on several other picture books and middle grade
fiction mysteries.
